HYDERABAD: Tollywood actor Bellamkonda Srinivas has been booked by Jubilee Hills police in connection with a rash driving incident that occurred on May 13 in Jubilee Hills.

Actor’s car seized by police
The incident took place around 3 pm at the Journalist Colony junction. According to a complaint filed by traffic constable S Naresh, the actor was driving an SUV from Jubilee Hills checkpost and attempted an illegal right turn on to Road No.70.When Naresh tried to intervene, the actor allegedly drove the vehicle towards him in a rash and negligent manner. As another traffic constable, Vikas Singh, approached the scene, the actor reportedly reversed the SUV and fled towards Road No. 45.Based on the complaint, a case was registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 281 (rash driving on a public way) and 221 (obstructing a public servant in discharge of public functions) and Motor Vehicles Act sections 184 (dangerous driving), 179 (disobedience of lawful orders), and 119 (failure to obey traffic signs).“No one was injured in the incident. The actor attempted to make an illegal turn on to Road No. 70 and drove in a rash manner. We have issued him a notice to record his statement,” said Jubilee Hills inspector K Venkateshwar Reddy. The actor’s car has since been seized by the police.
