HOSPET: Karnataka housing minister B Z Zameer Ahmad Khan on Friday made a dramatic statement, declaring he was prepared to go to war against Pakistan—even as a suicide bomber—if Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and the central government permit him.
“We are Indians, we are Hindustanis. We have no relation whatsoever with Pakistan. If there is a war to be fought, I am ready. If I am sent as a minister, I am prepared. I will go. I am ready to fight for the country,” Khan told reporters.
He asserted that his comments were not made in jest. “I am not saying this for fun or out of excitement. I will go for the country. Let Narendra Modi and Amit Shah give me weapons. I swear on Allah, I will strap arms to my back and go to war against Pakistan,” he said, striking his chest.
Speaking emotionally at a press conference in Hospet after attending a meeting, Khan reiterated, “Pakistan has never had any ties with us. It has always been our enemy. If Modi, Amit Shah and the Central government permit, I am ready to go to battle—even as a suicide bomber.”
