According to a video shared by NBA club Miami Heat back in 2011, LeBron James revealed the immediate reaction of his then-girlfriend Savannah, when he went down on one knee. He said, “It was real cool, you know. It was an opportunity for me with my personal life, so it was good. You know my girl; she’s very excited. She would love to answer more questions about it than me. She’s happy my family’s happy, and that’s what it’s about.”He further revealed that it came as a surprise for Savannah James. James said,
“I mean, it should be a surprise for any woman anytime something like that happens, so you know, like I said, she was surprised, and you know, it was great that all the friends and family were there to bring in a new year, and you know, even my kids were happy about it so that’s good.”Savannah James and LeBron James have a great parenting standard. According to the revelation made by the NBA icon, his relationship with Savannah James is not perfect. He said, “I’m gonna be honest. A relationship is never picture perfect. But if you’re okay with working through the hardships and the adverse moments, then it will make it all worth it. We’ve been together since high school, so s–t ain’t gonna always be a bed of roses. In any relationship, let alone someone you’ve been living with for 20 years.”
He further pressed on the importance of communication in a healthy relationship. James said, “Communication is number one. Being honest is number two. Number three is just, like, you have to be okay with being uncomfortable in relationships sometimes. You can’t always have it your way.
