Live from New York, it’s almost Saturday night!
Just weeks ahead of the premier of Season 51, “Saturday Night Live” announced Thursday its upcoming slate of hosts and musical guests who will open the new season of the late-night mainstay.
Music superstar Bad Bunny will usher in the new season on Oct. 4, serving as host for the second time. Rapper and singer Doja Cat will accompany him as the musical guest for her first time on the show.
On Oct. 11, “SNL” alum and “Good Hang” podcast host Amy Poehler will step into the hosting role for the third time, bringing her that much closer to the coveted “five-timers” jacket that many of her peers have been gifted.
Poehler will be joined by Role Model as musical guest, whose song “Sally, When The Wine Runs Out” went viral this summer.
Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter will perform double duty on Oct. 18, serving as both host and musical guest. It’s her first stint as host and her second as musical guest.
“Saturday Night Live” premiered on Oct. 11, 1975 and just marked its 50th season. Poehler’s show will fall exactly 50 years after the first episode.
