PIB Fact Check- the official fact checking Twitter handle of Press Information Bureau has shared a post, warning against fake social media posts with “Pakistan sponsored propaganda”. The post advised citizens to “carefully” verify every piece of information they receive on social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram. “In the coming days your social media will be flooded with #Pakistan sponsored propaganda.

It’s crucial to scrutinize every piece of information carefully,” said the PIB Fact Check post.In the post, the nodal agency under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has also asked citizens to report information about any “dubious content” about the Indian Armed Forces and the ongoing India-Pakistan situation to PIB Fact Check. It also provided a WhatsApp number and an email address where they can share such information.The post said:

Anand Mahindra, Sridhar Vembu respond to Operation Sindoor
Responding to the Indian government’s Operation Sindoor, Anand Mahindra – the Chairman of Mahindra Group extended support. Taking to microblogging platform X, Mahindra wrote “Our prayers are with our forces… One nation…Together we Stand”.Zoho co-founder Sridhar Vembu also voiced his support for the Indian Armed Forces on launching Operation Sindoor. Vembu shared the Indian Army’s announcement post on Operation Sindoor, stating “Justice is Served, Jai Hindi”.In another post on Operation Sindoor, Vembu wrote, “We must remember that it is the strength and resolve of our Prime Minister Modi-ji whose global standing enabled us to isolate Pakistan on the world stage and to respond strongly to terrorist attacks. We can only be at peace if we are strong and resolute. Weakness emboldens our enemies. Peace through strength. Jai Hind.”
